Call me

the other day I was in a dressing room and some woman's cell phone started ringing. But when I say 'ringing' I actually mean 'making incoherent sound' because it was supposed to be a ringtone but sounded more glarbity garblely. What is the point of having a cool ringtone if you can't even recognize the song??

When we got our last cell phones, they were the first ones we've had that gave the option of personalized ringtones. Before I just had 4 tones to choose from, and I think one of them was Brahm's lullaby. So when anyone called I would immediately get sleepy and want to get off the phone, so I guess that helped me save my minutes. But when I was presented with such an array of different ringtones, my head was swimming!! Who wouldn't want to answer the phone when Randy jackson says, "Yo dawg, pick up the phone." The options were endless.

But in the end, I only have 2 ringtones on my phone, and I only use one of them. The first one I got was "You dropped the Bomb on me" by the Gap band, but when I play it, it sounds like glarbity garble so I don't even bother. The one I normally use is the Peanuts song, and it never fails to get smiles from other people. (Everyone has a fondness for balding children with psychiatric problems)

What do you have on your cell phone? OR what would you want to have??

I think mine is the William Tell Overature -- just because I needed something to differentiate from Hubby's phone, and because there are times when my day feels like that.

Egads! There it goes now!

I used to have the same phone as you, but not as many options. It was quiet and loud. That's it.
When my husband got his phone, I was sooooo jealous that I got one too and we now have a"family plan". The first thing I did was pick a ring. My choice, and I'm very pleased with it, Heart of Glass by Blondie. It's so good that sometimes when my phone goes off I think that Blondie is on the store radio, and then I miss the call. I'm such a wacko. I like both of your choices. Hearing the Peanuts song always makes me want to dance.

yes sock monkeys are evil. LP has the Cantina song from star Wars on his phone. Yes he is a geek.

My home phone has an option where you can personalize the ring--so whenever it is my mother calling it plays the 1812 overture, pretty fitting for her.

And don't you love the way the Peanuts dance??

I love cell phone ring tones! When my house calls my phone, I have it set to theme from the Brady Bunch. When my husband calls, his ring is 'Buddy Holly' by Weezer. My friend Michele's ring is 'Bewitched'. I have to get the Peanuts theme!

JBo: Okay, I do believe you have a thing for the Bradys. You don't have a Johnny Bravo poster anywhere by chance do you?

HDL: Oh! Oh!!! I saw Tom Jones in concert and women were throwing underwear at him left and right. It was a sight to behold.

How do get the reverse ring? That is fantastic!!! You are so spicy, HDL.

Love the New Kids.

oooh that's a good gift JBo. I used to come home from school and reruns of the BB would be on and I'd watch them and eat peanut butter sandwiches.
