I don't get political on this blog, only because I don't feel I'm informed enough to be making any type of judgement on most of what is going on. Not that I don't care, but I just don't think I truly ever have enough information to go spouting my opinion on. Kind of like Madonna and Guy Ritchie's marriage. What went wrong, what do I think went wrong? I don't know, I don't know these people from Adam and I cannot assume that I know what happened to them. He could have just called her a wanker every time Madonna got dressed in blue, who knows...it's not my call.
So that is why I don't make any political essays on this blog. Madonna and Guy.
Anyway. I'm sick, on cold medicine and little of this makes any sense.
The point is this. Last night, for the first time in YEARS, I had hope. And that hope has rolled into this morning. I know, Lord do I know, that change cannot happen overnight. That one man cannot be our Savior.
But by golly he is awe-inspiring. I wasn't born when MLK or JFK were around, and this is the first time I feel like I've been alive when a true 'maverick' (ha) will inspire us to become better people. To become a better Nation.
I love America and I love that I have the freedom to vote and choose who will lead us.
Obama may make mistakes, he may screw things up, but I know that he has given the jolt that we need. Yes, yes we can.
(insert chanting "USA! USA" here)
He may not be able to bring Guy and Madonna back together, but I think, if we are willing as a country, he can bring us together and make us the country we ought to be.
all my fault.
